Closures in א 0 - categorical bilinear maps

چکیده

Alternating bilinear maps with few relations allow to define a combinatorial closure similarly as in [2]. For the א0-categorical case we show that this closure is part of the algebraic closure.

Categoricity over P for first order T or categoricity for φ ∈ L ω 1 ω can stop at א k while holding for א 0 , . . . ,

In the 1950’s, Los conjectured that if T was countable first order theory in a language L then if it was categorical in some uncountable power then it was categorical in all uncountable powers. In [7], Morley proved this. Buoyed by this success, more general forms of the Los conjecture were considered. In [10], Shelah showed that if T was any first order theory categorical in some power greater...

On continuous cohomology of locally compact Abelian groups and bilinear maps

Let $A$ be an abelian topological group and $B$ a trivial topological $A$-module. In this paper we define the second bilinear cohomology with a trivial coefficient. We show that every abelian group can be embedded in a central extension of abelian groups with bilinear cocycle. Also we show that in the category of locally compact abelian groups a central extension with a continuous section can b...

Arens regularity of bilinear maps and Banach modules actions

‎Let $X$‎, ‎$Y$ and $Z$ be Banach spaces and $f:Xtimes Y‎ ‎longrightarrow Z$ a bounded bilinear map‎. ‎In this paper we‎ ‎study the relation between Arens regularity of $f$ and the‎ ‎reflexivity of $Y$‎. ‎We also give some conditions under which the‎ ‎Arens regularity of a Banach algebra $A$ implies the Arens‎ ‎regularity of certain Banach right module action of $A$‎ .

Measurement feedback controllers with constraints and their relation to the solution of Hamilton Jacobi inequalities

In this paper we propose a separation result for the stabilization of systems with control and measurement contraints, which clarifies the connection between the solution of a couple of Hamilton Jacobi inequalities (HJI) and the constraints imposed on the control and the estimation error fed back in the control loop. Once a solution of these HJI has been found a measurement feedback controller ...

A Note on Bilinear Estimates and Regularity of Flow Maps for Nonlinear Dispersive Equations

Explicit counterexamples to bilinear estimates related to the Benjamin-Ono equation in the periodic setting are calculated for functions of zero mean value. As a consequence, certain bilinear estimates fail to hold in spite of the analyticity of the flow map. The latter has been shown recently by L. Molinet.
